How Bert works.

Three ways to deal with us - as a buyer, a consignor, or someone sourcing a specific card. Plus the FAQ at the bottom for anything else.

If you're:
1

Browse what we have.

Check the shop. Every card is inspected, the slab cert is verified, and the photo is the actual card you'd receive.

2

Buy now, or make an offer.

List prices are what we'd take today. Most buyers negotiate - that's fine. Hit Make an offer on the card to DM us a pre-filled message on @bertcollectables with your offer. We respond within 48 hours.

3

Pay how you want.

Buy Now uses Shopify checkout (card, Apple Pay, Shop Pay, or PayPal). Pick PayPal at checkout for automatic Goods & Services buyer protection. Prefer bank transfer or paying in person? DM us instead - lower fees, no online protection.

4

We ship - or you meet us.

Shipped from Sydney. Free express domestic on orders over $2,000 AUD (no insurance). For high-ticket slabs, in-person handover at NSW card shows or a private meet-up is fine - just ask. Shipping is at buyer's risk by default; PayPal G&S protects you if anything goes wrong.

1

Tell us what you want.

Submit the source form with the card you're after - name, set, grade, max budget. Free to ask, no obligation.

2

We hunt.

We tap our network of collectors, vendors, and consignors across Australia. We come back to you with what's available, what it costs, and how to take it.

3

You approve.

If we find a match and the price works for you, give us the go-ahead. If nothing comes up or it's not right, no charge - we move on.

4

We deliver.

Once you commit, Bert holds the card as escrow until you pay. Then it ships from Sydney - same shipping options as a regular order.

1

Tell us what you have.

Submit the consign form with photos, cert numbers, and the take-home price you want. Free to list. No shipping yet - your slabs stay with you until there's a sale.

2

We list and find buyers.

We list your slab on the site and Instagram using your photos and details. We field inquiries, negotiate offers, and run the sale.

3

Sale agreed - ship to Bert.

Only once a buyer commits, you ship the slab to us (or hand it over in person). Shipping to Bert is at your cost - we cover the onward shipping to the buyer. Bert is the escrow: the buyer's funds sit with us, we verify the card on arrival, and we forward it to the buyer.

4

Buyer confirms - you get paid.

When the buyer confirms they've received the card, we release the funds to your nominated account.

FAQ

Are your cards authentic?

Every slab we list is verified against the grading company's official cert lookup (PSA or BGS) before going on the site. We don't re-grade, modify, or relist slabs - the grade you see on the slab is what we sell. If a buyer suspects an issue with authenticity post-purchase, we'll help them deal directly with the grading company's verification system.

How much does shipping cost and how long does it take?

Domestic (Australia): Free express shipping on orders over $2,000 AUD (1-2 business days, no insurance). Under $1,000: standard $11 (3-5 business days) or express $15 (1-2 business days). All slabs ship in protected packaging.

International: Rate calculated at checkout based on destination - tracked + insured airmail. Typical transit 7-14 business days depending on customs clearance. If your country isn't supported at checkout, DM us before buying.

Buyers in international markets may face local import duties on arrival; those are the buyer's responsibility (Australia doesn't charge GST on exports).

What's your return policy?

All sales are final. Listings represent the slab in the photographs; we don't take returns for buyer's remorse, change of mind, or price drops. Damage in transit is the buyer's risk unless you pay via PayPal Goods & Services, which gives you their dispute protection.

What fees do you charge consignors?

Our fee is 5%. Give us the take-home price you want and we'll work from there. We'll negotiate on your behalf and keep you in the loop on any offers we receive. DM us to talk through your slabs.

Can I view a card in person before buying?

Yes - particularly for higher-value slabs. We're at several NSW card shows throughout the year (Liverpool, Parramatta, and others). Watch our IG for dates, or message us to arrange a private meet-up.

Do you only do One Piece?

One Piece TCG is our focus today. We'll consider other TCGs (PokΓ©mon, Dragon Ball Z, Yu-Gi-Oh) case by case - DM us if you've got something good.

Do I need an account to buy?

Nope. Guest checkout works fine.

Still got questions? DM us - we reply within 48 hours.
